For our 3rd Anniversary, we are excited to announce that our new venue for the 2010 festival will be the classy American Theater, located right in the middle of historic vibrant downtown Charleston. Opened in 1942 as Charleston's premiere movie house, it evokes regal Art-Deco architecture and a timeless Hollywood glamour. It now holds its own place in movie history after serving as the movie venue and scenic backdrop in the major motion picture, The Notebook. Today The American is a stylish and sophisticated move premiere and event venue, worthy of red carpets and dazzling marquees. The featured selections at the 2010 CIFF will be screened in a quintessential cinema with stadium seating. Undoubtedly, the elelegant setting of The American Theater will be a special part of the audiences' movie-going experience at this year's Festival!
